Beach Style

Postby elephantspike » Tue Mar 09, 2010 2:33 am

I'm trying to port this Beach style. It's based on subsilver. I uploaded all the stargate subsilver styles and did all the subsilver edits to it. Most of the finds were pretty much the same. Most of the pages work except index.php. When I load that, I get

Code: Select all
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/boston59/public_html/forum/cache/tpl_Beach_index_body.html.php on line 204

And when I refresh the style I get

Code: Select all
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/boston59/public_html/forum/includes/template.php(218) : eval()'d code on line 204

I have attached 2 files. Beach is the out-of-the-box style, and beach_stargate is my attempt at porting it to stargate.

I posted this on stargatestyles.com a while back, and apparently it has Mitch stumped as well. He suggested I post about it here. Here is the thread on stargatestyles :

every if statment must be closed by an end if statement.

look for a <!-- IF something --> that is not followed by an <!-- ENDIF -->

It's an error in the cache file so even if you fixed it you need to delete the styles cache before it will work...
I have downloaded and installed it and see no code errors... Testing in opera shows a few minor edits required... now to test in FF ;)

Fix!
Open: index_body.html and find:
Code: Select all
<!-- IF not STARGATE -->
remove it for now...

Here is the corrected file:
index_body.zip

Looking good so far :n1:
